The All Progressives Congress (APC) has asserted that President Bola Tinubu will not suffer defeat in the 2027 elections due to insecurity, unlike former President Goodluck Jonathan's experience in 2015. Bala Ibrahim, APC's Director of Media and Publicity, emphasized that the party is proactively addressing security challenges to prevent history from repeating itself.
Ibrahim highlighted the deployment of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, to the North-West region and the ongoing efforts of National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as evidence of the administration's commitment to enhancing national security.
He also noted that geopolitical tensions with neighboring Francophone countries have impacted regional security cooperation, leaving Nigeria to tackle these challenges with limited external support.
The APC's stance reflects its determination to address security issues and maintain political stability ahead of the 2027 elections.
