Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has appointed renowned Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, as his Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach. The announcement was made on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, during 2Baba's visit to the Government House in Makurdi.​

Governor Alia praised 2Baba as a worthy ambassador of the state, acknowledging his global success in the music industry and his humanitarian efforts. He expressed confidence that 2Baba's experience and influence would enhance the state's engagement with the creative industry and strengthen community outreach initiatives.
