The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has issued a warning to Nigerians, advising them to modify their National Identification Number (NIN) details exclusively through the official NIMC self-service portal to ensure data security and integrity. 

The official NIMC self-service portal can be accessed at https://selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng. This platform allows users to securely update their NIN information, including changes to date of birth, name, address, and phone number, without the need to visit an enrollment center. 

To modify your NIN details, log in to the self-service portal, select the appropriate modification option, complete the required payment, and upload the necessary supporting documents. Detailed instructions and requirements for each type of modification are provided on the portal.
