Teni explains why she prostrated to greet IBD Dende on plane.

Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, better known by her stage name Teni, has explained her recent kneeling motion to welcome well-known businessman and socialite Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende, often known as IBD Dende, on a plane.
Recall that on Friday, Teni received backlash after posting a video of herself kneeling to welcome IBD Dende on an aircraft on her X account.
Most of the commentators slammed her for associating with IBD Dende despite smuggling allegations against him.
Reacting on Sunday morning, Teni explained that she wasn’t aware of any criminal activities associated with IBD Dende, adding that the businessman showed her kindness in 2014 even before she hit stardom, and since then she has held him in high esteem.
The ‘Askamaya’ crooner noted that she does not support criminals.
In his words, "I met IBD Dende in 2014, and he was so good to me, even before I blew up. So whenever I see him, it’s always love."
“I honestly had no knowledge of any criminal activities associated with him. I do not support criminals, so let the law take its course.”
