Women and Children Among Dozens Killed in Intensified Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza

Israeli airstrikes across Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 25 individuals, including women and children, according to Gaza's civil defense agency. These strikes, which began at dawn on Sunday, have intensified the already dire humanitarian situation in the region.

Medical sources report that the bombardments targeted residential homes and displacement tents, leading to significant civilian casualties. In the past 48 hours alone, over 90 Palestinians have been killed, as Israeli forces escalate their operations following the collapse of a ceasefire in March.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in more than 51,000 Palestinian deaths since October 2023, with a substantial proportion being women and children. The situation is further exacerbated by a blockade that has severely limited access to essential aid, leading to widespread shortages of food, fuel, and medical supplies.

In response to the escalating violence, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that military operations will continue until Hamas is dismantled and hostages are released. Meanwhile, international organizations have expressed deep concern over the rising civilian toll and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
