Real Madrid to sign Ronaldo’s teammate

Real Madrid are reportedly considering signing Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate, Aymeric Laporte.

Diario AS reports that Real Madrid would only sign Laporte on a free transfer.

The Spaniard is an option to strengthen Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti’s defence this summer transfer window.

Laporte wants out of Al-Awwal Park amid struggles adapting to life in the Saudi Pro League.

The 30-year-old joined Al Nassr from Manchester City last summer for €27.5 million.

The centre-back was a mainstay in Luis Castro’s side last season, helping them keep 13 clean sheets in 39 games across all competitions.

However, Laporte had hinted at being disillusioned with life in Saudi Arabia earlier this year and could be tempted to leave Al-Nassr for Madrid.
