Saudi Arabia Declares Sunday, March 30, 2025, as Eid al-Fitr

Saudi Arabia has officially announced that the crescent moon marking the end of Ramadan was sighted on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Consequently, Eid al-Fitr will commence on Sunday, March 30, 2025. This announcement aligns with similar declarations from other countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, which will also begin their Eid celebrations on Sunday.

However, some nations such as Oman, Indonesia, and Bangladesh have reported not sighting the crescent moon and will therefore observe Eid al-Fitr on Monday, March 31, 2025. The timing of Eid al-Fitr varies globally, as it depends on local moon sightings to determine the start of the Islamic month of Shawwal.
