Troops Neutralize Terrorists, Rescue 84 Kidnap Victims in Katsina Operation

Between March 17 and 18, 2025, Nigerian troops conducted successful operations against terrorist groups in Katsina and Zamfara states. In Katsina's Kankara Local Government Area, an assault on a terrorist enclave at Pauwa High Ground led to the neutralization of three terrorists and the rescue of 84 kidnapped individuals. The victims were handed over to local authorities for further action.

 

In Zamfara State, acting on intelligence about terrorist activities in the Bagabuzu area of Faru District, Maradun Local Government Area, troops neutralized seven terrorists and recovered a motorcycle among other items. Additionally, 17 captives abducted by a terrorist kingpin were rescued from Tsibiri and Doka villages in Shinkafi Local Government Area and are receiving medical attention at a local hospital.

 

These operations underscore the commitment of Nigerian security forces to ensuring the safety and security of communities in the affected regions.
