As of February 22, 2025, there have been reports linking Newcastle United with Bayer Leverkusen's Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface. In October 2023, The Sun reported that Newcastle scouts observed Boniface during international matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, noting his impressive performances. 

However, more recent information from February 2025 indicates that there has been no official contact between Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen regarding Boniface. BILD reported that despite rumors, there have been no discussions between the two clubs, and Boniface remains content at Bayer Leverkusen. 

Boniface has been a standout performer since joining Bayer Leverkusen in July 2023, contributing significantly to their successes, including winning the Bundesliga title in the 2023-24 season. 

While Newcastle United may have shown interest in Boniface, there is currently no concrete evidence of ongoing negotiations between the clubs.
