Police report that security operatives have killed 100 gunmen in Anambra.

In a recent operation, security forces in Anambra State have neutralized over 100 armed criminals and dismantled numerous criminal hideouts across various locations, including Ufuma, Eziowelle, Achalla, and Ogbaru. This initiative was part of the state's security strategy, Operation 'Udo Ga Achi'. 

 

Additionally, the Anambra State Police Command has apprehended nine individuals connected to the abduction and subsequent murder of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the State House of Assembly representing Onitsha North Constituency 1. Azuka was kidnapped on December 24, 2024, and his remains were discovered near the Second Niger Bridge on February 6, 2025. The suspects were arrested in a joint operation with the Anambra State Vigilante Group, and two pump-action guns were recovered during the operation.

 

These developments underscore the ongoing efforts by security agencies in Anambra State to combat criminal activities and enhance public safety.
