President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, on her recent Grammy Award win. Tems secured the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles on Sunday night for her song "Love Me JeJe." 

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Tems for her unique artistry, stating that she has once again brought pride to Nigeria on the global stage. He also commended other Nigerian artists nominated for this year's Grammy Awards, including Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Lojay, Davido, and Burna Boy, acknowledging their contributions to the country's creative industry.

This achievement marks Tems' second Grammy win, further solidifying her position as a leading figure in the Nigerian music scene. Her success, along with that of her peers, highlights the growing global influence of Afrobeats and Nigeria's cultural impact on the world stage.
