Governor Ademola Adeleke has launched the Imole Youth Corps, enlisting 10,000 young individuals from Osun State's 30 local government areas. This initiative aims to tackle youth unemployment by engaging participants in sectors such as health, security, environment, and education. Each beneficiary will receive a monthly stipend of ₦30,000.
At the inauguration ceremony held at Freedom Park in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke emphasized the program's role in providing valuable work experience and contributing to grassroots economic activities. He urged the corps members to demonstrate dedication and diligence in their assigned roles.
The Commissioner for Youth Development, Moshood Olagunju, commended the governor's commitment to youth empowerment and advised the new corps members to serve as good ambassadors of the program. He also assured those not selected that additional empowerment opportunities would be available in the future.
This initiative is part of the state's broader strategy to create a sustainable job market and foster economic empowerment among its youth.
