Soludo Clinches APGA Ticket, Set for Re-election Battle in Anambra 2025

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been elected as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election, scheduled for November 8, 2025. The primary election took place on April 5, 2025, at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, where Soludo was the sole contestant and received overwhelming support from delegates.

Prior to the primary, APGA's National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, confirmed that over 3,260 delegates were set to participate in the event. Soludo had earlier submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms, following his clearance by the party to seek re-election.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Soludo expressed gratitude for the party's support and announced Onyekachukwu Ibezim as his running mate for the forthcoming election.

The political landscape in Anambra State is intensifying as other major parties, including the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), are also conducting their primaries to select candidates for the governorship race.

Governor Soludo, who has been in office since March 2022, is seeking a second term to continue his administration's policies and projects in Anambra State.
