Adesoji Adeleye, the Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel in Akure, Ondo State, was tragically murdered in the early hours of Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Reports indicate that assailants entered the hotel premises and attacked Adeleye in one of the guest rooms where he had stayed overnight. He was stabbed multiple times and left in a pool of blood. ​

The Ondo State Police Command has launched an investigation into the incident. Police Public Relations Officer, Alayande Olayinka, stated that detectives have been dispatched to the scene and efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators.

This incident follows a similar case in August 2024, where Mrs. Olakunbi Adene, a prominent caterer in Akure, was murdered by her domestic staff. The suspects confessed to the crime, highlighting concerns about the safety of business owners in the region. ​
