On April 11, 2025, an explosion occurred at a CCTV equipment shop on Kodesho Street near Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos, injuring five individuals. Preliminary investigations suggest the blast happened when a shop attendant attempted to open a suspicious parcel delivered to the store. The injured were promptly taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for medical attention.

This incident follows several recent explosions in Lagos, including a gas cylinder explosion in Ijora Badia that injured at least 20 people on April 8, 2025. ​
