Gabriel Magalhães Ruled Out for Season After Hamstring Surgery

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury sustained during the 2-1 victory over Fulham on April 1, 2025. The injury requires surgery, which Gabriel will undergo in the coming days, with the aim of being ready for the start of next season.

This development is a significant setback for Arsenal, especially as they prepare for their Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid, with the first leg scheduled at the Emirates Stadium on April 8, 2025. Gabriel's absence adds to the team's defensive challenges, with other defenders such as Jurrien Timber, Ben White, and Riccardo Calafiori also facing fitness concerns.

Gabriel has been a pivotal figure in Arsenal's defense this season, forming a strong partnership with William Saliba and contributing five goals. His injury means manager Mikel Arteta will need to rely on alternative options, such as Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko, to fill the void in the defense.
