Gunmen Kill Ten in Plateau State Attacks

On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, armed assailants launched coordinated attacks on five communities in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of at least ten individuals. This incident occurred merely six days after a similar assault in the Ruwi community, where ten people were killed during a wake-keep ceremony. ​

 

The Plateau State Government has strongly condemned these attacks and has directed security agencies to apprehend those responsible. Local stakeholders have expressed deep concern over the recurring violence, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced security measures to protect residents and prevent further loss of life.
