The Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has extended the deadline for the 2025 Hajj fare payment from January 31 to February 10, 2025. This decision aims to accommodate intending pilgrims who faced challenges completing their payments by the initial deadline.
Intending pilgrims are required to pay a total of ₦8,784,085.59. Those who have already made an initial deposit of ₦8.5 million should pay the remaining ₦284,085.59 to complete their payment. Payments should be made via bank draft in favor of the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and submitted along with the necessary forms and valid international passports by the new deadline.
The Board has also advised that pilgrims who can afford the Hajj fare, excluding the $500 Basic Travel Allowance (BTA), proceed with their payment while sourcing for their BTA separately.
This extension provides an opportunity for more intending pilgrims to fulfill their religious obligations in Saudi Arabia. The Lagos State Government remains committed to ensuring the welfare and comfort of all pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.
