As of now, there is no public information indicating that President Bola Tinubu has ordered an immediate takeover of NOK University. In June 2024, the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the final forfeiture of NOK University, along with other assets, to the Federal Government. This decision was based on findings that the university's promoter, Anthony Hassan, a former Director of Finance and Accounts in the Federal Ministry of Health, had acquired these assets using proceeds from unlawful activities. 

In October 2023, President Tinubu approved the staggered takeoff of six out of 14 public universities established during the previous administration. This decision was made to ensure that the government could adequately support these institutions, considering funding and staffing challenges. 

However, there have been no official statements or reports regarding a directive from President Tinubu for an immediate takeover of NOK University.
