The National Assembly has confirmed Captain Chris Najomo as the substantive Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). Najomo has been serving as the acting DG since December 2023, following the suspension of Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu. 

President Bola Tinubu had earlier nominated Najomo for the position, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the regulatory agency and strengthen Nigeria's aviation sector. 

In his role as Director General, Najomo will oversee safety regulations, industry compliance, and policy implementation within the NCAA, a crucial agency in Nigeria's aviation sector. 

The National Association of Aviation Progressives (NAAP) has lauded Najomo's appointment, acknowledging his achievements during his tenure as acting DG and expressing confidence that he will surpass the expectations of Nigerians in his new role.
